September was USA Racquetball month

I started the blog with a commitment to play as many individual opponents as I could arrange during the month of September, both to improve my ability to read opponents and where they are hitting the ball and to improve my endurance. At the end of the month, I played in the ACA Fall Classic Shootout in Huntsville, Alabama and that commitment paid off with a win of my division. With three matches in one day, it brought my total number of unique opponents to 16, so I will be donating $160 to USA Racquetball.

I played some doubles on Monday, with Darryl, Jim, and Bobbie. With any luck, the lessons imparted during that session will help with my doubles event at the US Open next week. I’ll be reviewing doubles strategy as presented by Tim Doyle and Chris Crowther at the Racquetball Warehouse Video Vault between now and then as well.
