I like numbers.
I like free tools that show me maps.

When I was looking at the United Healthcare US Open participant list, I thought it would be interesting to see how many players were coming from each country. After compiling that information, I wanted to see it on a map. While I was at it, I also compiled the number of players per US state, and put that on a second map.

International attendance numbers as of 9/24/2015.
US attendance numbers as of 9/24/2015.

Excel has a tool called Map Point, but it wasn’t quite as useful as BatchGeo in this instance.
